Accessibility statement
Amyn should work for everyone who runs a business.
We want this website, and the point of sale we are building, to be usable by people with disabilities. This statement says what is in place today, what we know still falls short, and how to reach us. It was last reviewed on October 19, 2026.
Our standard
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA for this website and for the merchant dashboard we are building. We have not yet had an independent audit, so we do not claim conformance. We check our own work and fix what we find.
What is in place today
- Structure: every page uses proper headings, landmarks and lists, so screen readers can move through it.
- Keyboard: every control can be reached and used with a keyboard. The “Skip to content” link at the top of each page moves you past the menu, and the feature switcher on the home page works with the arrow keys.
- Visible focus: the element you have reached with the keyboard is outlined clearly.
- Colour and contrast: all body and heading text meets the 4.5:1 contrast ratio, and we never rely on colour alone to carry meaning.
- Motion: if your device asks for reduced motion, the site shows no animation at all and nothing moves or advances on its own.
- Images: meaningful images carry text alternatives; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text size: text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content, and layouts work down to narrow phone screens.
- Forms: every field has a visible label, and errors are described in words next to the field.
Known limitations
- The illustrated register on the home page is a demonstration. A few small labels inside it, such as the step numbers and the selected category tab, use a lighter blue that falls below the 4.5:1 contrast ratio. We treat them as decorative and are reworking them.
- The home page uses animation to present features. It is switched off when reduced motion is requested, but we have not yet offered an on-page control to turn it off otherwise.
- The site is in English only. Arabic and Urdu versions, written right-to-left, are planned for the dashboard first.
What we plan for the point of sale
- Customer-facing PIN entry with tactile or audio guidance, so a customer who cannot see the screen can pay privately.
- Large-text and high-contrast modes on the register and on the customer screen.
- Right-to-left languages, including Arabic and Urdu, on the register, the customer screen and the dashboard.
- Full keyboard and screen-reader support in the merchant dashboard, including a button alternative for every drag-and-drop action.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site is hard to use, or you need any of our documents in another format, email info@amynpos.com or use the contact form. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use, if any. We aim to reply within five business days.
How we check
Before each release we test with a keyboard only, with a screen reader, with reduced motion requested, at 200% zoom, and on a narrow phone screen, and we measure text contrast against the colour palette. We review this statement every six months and whenever the site changes substantially.
