Halal butchers and grocers with a scale
Sold by weight.
Halal on record.
A point of sale for halal butchers and grocers with a scale. Price a cut per pound or kilogram and weigh it at the counter. The halal certificate stays with the item it covers.
Coming soon. Amyn is in development.
Priced per pound. Rung up to the ounce.
Set a price per pound or per kilogram on any item. Enter the weight at the counter and the register does the math. Each line of the sale records the weight, the unit price and the total, so the customer can check it. Chicken by the pound, spices by the 100 grams: each item keeps its own unit.
A stored container weight (tare) per item is planned, so the tub is not charged as meat.
The certificate stays with the cut.
Each halal certificate is a record in Amyn. It holds the certifier, the number, the holder, the issue and expiry dates, and the document. Link it to the items it covers and to the supplier it came from. Every item also carries a halal status, written onto each line of the sale. When a customer asks, the answer is a record you can open, not a memory.
Amyn does not certify anything. It keeps the certificates your suppliers and certifiers issue.
One item for lamb. A variant for every cut.
Set up lamb once, then add shoulder, leg, chops and ground as variants. Each variant has its own price per unit, barcode and SKU (stock code). Prices can differ by location. Item names can be stored in English and Arabic today, with Urdu and Bengali planned.
Labels the register can read. Planned.
Many counter scales print a label whose barcode carries the weight and the price. These are called price-embedded barcodes. The plan is for Amyn to print them for pre-packed items, and to read them at the register. One scan then rings up the exact amount. Which scales and label printers Amyn will work with is not decided yet. This page will list them once they are.
A whole lamb for Eid. Planned.
A whole lamb for Eid, or forty pounds of brisket for a wedding. The plan is to take a deposit, note the pickup day, and settle the balance at pickup. Planned, not built; this page will say so until it ships.
What is built, and what is planned.
Built means the data lives in Amyn’s backend today; the screens that show it are still being made. Planned means it is on our list and not started.

Our planned direction. Amyn is in development. Read our disclaimers.
Questions, answered.
Does Amyn certify meat as halal?
No. Amyn keeps the certificates your suppliers and certifiers issue and links them to your items. We claim no certification of our own.
Can I use pounds for meat and kilograms for rice?
Yes. The unit is set per item.
Will my scale connect to Amyn?
Scale and label-printer integration is planned. Which models will be supported is not decided yet.
